Team Leader

SUPERVISION:

The Executive Director will be your supervisor.

ROLE:

A Team Leader functions as the hub of a work team, providing coordination and assuring good communication within the work team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be at least 22 years of age and have an Associates Degree.  Two years of related work experience may substitute for an AA Degree.  Must demonstrate well-developed communication skills and be able to work effectively in a work team environment.

DUTIES:

  • Monitor the work of team members and provide mentoring for team members needing support.

  • Actively promote accountability and professionalism among team members.

  • Participate in the development of IISP’s, IFP’s and Behavior Support Plans.

  •  Monitor resident IISP goals to assure diligent support of goals by team members.

  • Oversee team staff scheduling.

  • Actively work to promote the healthy functioning of the work team.  Assure use of the Conflict Resolution Step Program to resolve team member differences.

  • Attend Team Leader meetings and actively participate in the process of quality improvement.

  • Work to maintain an open line of communication between the work team and the Service Coordination Team.

  • Carry the Team Leader On-Call pager on a rotating basis to assure 24-hour response to client needs.
